Here\u2019s a parent-friendly guide to help you do it right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Know When It\u2019s Ready<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Baby teeth usually become loose when the permanent tooth beneath them begins to push upward, typically around age six or seven. If a tooth is only slightly wobbly, it\u2019s best to wait \u2014 pulling too early can hurt and even damage the gums or underlying permanent tooth. A good rule of thumb: the tooth should move freely in all directions without causing pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
